IN BRIEF

How does AI help a social housing provider?

In a social housing organization, AI helps where requests pour in and documents pile up: tenant complaints, repair requests, housing applications, relations with local authorities and reservation-rights holders.

It sorts, checks completeness, finds the contract or procedure, and prepares a reply or a work order. A person reviews and decides: the Union sociale pour l’habitat, the French social housing federation, points out the risk of standardized replies, and close local relations remain at the heart of the job.

For housing allocation, AI only checks the documents: the decision belongs to the committee. Tenant data stays within your perimeter, hosted on your premises if needed.

USE CASES

AI prepares, your teams decide.

The use cases we build with social housing providers, connected to your current tools.

  • Complaints sorted

AI sorts complaints from every channel and prepares the reply. The customer officer approves.

  • Work orders prepared

AI qualifies the fault, finds the maintenance contract and prepares the work order. The property manager approves.

  • Complete allocation files

AI checks each application and flags missing documents. The committee decides.

  • Institutional relations tracked

Contacts, meetings, commitments: the history stays in-house.

  • Procedures at hand

A Company Brain answers field teams’ questions about your procedures.

  • An AI policy with your teams

Shared rules, written with IT and shared with employee representatives.

AI-READY

Your AI agents read and act in the tool, through MCP.

MCP is an open standard: a universal plug, under your control, between your software and AI. Your IT department approves every access.

  • SAMPLE REQUESTS TO YOUR AGENTS
  • “Which complaints from this residence are overdue?”
  • “Which contractor covers this boiler?”
  • “What was discussed with this municipality this year?”

OUR METHOD

Four steps, with your field teams.

The four steps of our method, in a loop. Each can be done on its own; together, they organize AI across the whole organization.

  1. Inspire your leadership team

A keynote built on cases from your business. Your leadership decides where AI will be useful, and where it will not.

  2. Map your operations

We spot the bottlenecks, rank use cases by gain and difficulty, and name the tools to keep.

  3. Bring your teams on board

In a hands-on session, everyone arrives with a real problem and leaves with the AI agent that solves it. An AI policy sets the shared rules.

  4. Build with the AI Factory

Our engineers build AI-ready business tools with you. You keep the keys.

You take back the keys.

The code and data stay with you, documented. We keep improving the tool with you, or you take it over. This is step 4 of our method: Build with the AI Factory.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Questions from social housing providers.

How do social housing providers use AI today?

Mainly for tenant relations (sorting requests, preparing replies), property maintenance and document analysis. The Union sociale pour l’habitat set up a working group on the topic in 2024.

Can AI answer tenant complaints on its own?

We do not recommend it. AI sorts complaints and prepares the reply; the customer officer reviews, adapts and sends it. Local relations stay human.

Can AI play a role in housing allocation?

Only to check that the file is complete. The decision belongs to the allocation committee. An AI system that assessed eligibility would face stricter requirements under the AI Act.

Is tenant data protected?

Yes: it stays within your perimeter, hosted in France or on your premises if your data requires it. Access rights are set with your IT department.

Do we need to change our property management software?

No. We connect AI to your current tools. If an in-house tool is holding you back, we can rebuild it AI-ready.

How do we involve field teams and employee representatives?

From the scoping stage: hands-on sessions with the teams, a shared AI acceptable use policy, and usage tracked over time.

Does AI decide in place of your teams?

No. AI prepares: it sorts, checks, summarizes and writes a first draft. A named person reviews and decides. Every AI action is logged.
