IN BRIEF

## How does AI help a consulting firm?

In a consulting firm, the value lies in consultants’ time, and that is what leaks away: timesheets filled in from memory, staffing negotiated by email, margin known at the end of the engagement, proposals rewritten from scratch.

AI helps most when it relies on an up-to-date management tool: time prefilled from the calendar, profitability calculated continuously, invoices prepared from approved time entries, proposals drawing on your past engagements. That is why we often start with the firm’s ERP, rebuilt AI-ready.

E-invoicing makes this work urgent: since September 1, 2026, all companies must be able to receive electronic invoices, and SMEs will have to issue them from September 1, 2027.

ERP, PSA OR CUSTOM?

A PSA (professional services automation) is the tool service companies use for time, projects and billing. Custom software makes sense when your staffing and billing rules do not fit standard software.

USE CASES

## AI prepares, your partners make the call.

Uses built on your management tool, connected to your AI agents.

### Time prefilled from the calendar

AI fills in the timesheet with the week’s meetings. The consultant approves.

### Real-time profitability by project

The tool links time, expenses and invoices: every project has an up-to-date margin. The partner makes the call.

### Staffing and billing without re-entry

AI suggests available consultants and prepares invoices from approved time entries.

### Proposals drawing on your engagements

A Company Brain finds the relevant references and deliverables, under your confidentiality rules.

### Watch for your teams and your clients

What is changing in your industries, summarized with the source.

### Your ERP, AI-ready

Rebuilt as a custom tool, connected to your agents through MCP. The code stays yours.

AI-READY

### Your AI agents read and act in the tool, through MCP.

MCP is an open standard: a universal plug, under your control, between your software and AI. Your IT department approves every access.

- SAMPLE REQUESTS TO YOUR AGENTS
- “Which projects are losing margin this month?”
- “Who is available next week for this engagement?”
- “Find our last three similar engagements.”

OUR METHOD

## Four steps, with your partners.

The four steps of our method, in a loop. Each can be done on its own; together, they organize AI across the whole company.

### Inspire your leadership team

A keynote built on cases from your business. Your leadership decides where AI will be useful, and where it will not.

### Map your operations

We spot the bottlenecks, rank use cases by gain and difficulty, and name the tools to keep.

### Bring your teams on board

In a hands-on session, everyone arrives with a real problem and leaves with the AI agent that solves it. An AI policy sets the shared rules.

### Build with the AI Factory

Our engineers build AI-ready business tools with you. You keep the keys.

### You take back the keys.

The code and data stay with you, documented. We keep improving the tool with you, or you take it over. This is step 4 of our method: Build with the AI Factory.

A PROJECT ALREADY DELIVERED

## Plein Sens, consulting firm.

PROJECT SHEETPlein Sens

The client

Plein Sens, a consulting firm of about one hundred people.

The starting point

An aging in-house ERP that the team no longer dared to change, and that AI could not read.

What we did

We retrieved its data schema, then rebuilt the ERP as a custom tool, connected to AI through MCP.

What we learned

Once the data is retrieved, the core of the tool is rebuilt fast. Scoping is what sets the timeline.

With the schema retrieved, the core of the ERP was rebuilt in a few days.

With good scoping from the start, a project like this takes about one to one and a half months.

YOUR QUESTIONS

## What consulting firms ask us.

What is the difference between an ERP, a PSA and a custom tool for a consulting firm?

A PSA (professional services automation) manages time, projects and billing for service companies; an ERP covers management more broadly. Custom software makes sense when your staffing, margin or billing rules do not fit a standard product.

When should a firm move off spreadsheets?

When the margin per engagement is only known at the end, when staffing is negotiated by email, or when invoices are prepared by hand: often between 20 and 50 people.

How do you prefill timesheets without imposing them?

The tool suggests entries from the calendar; the consultant corrects and approves them. Nothing is saved without them.

Is our tool ready for e-invoicing?

Since September 1, 2026, every company must be able to receive electronic invoices; issuing them becomes mandatory for SMEs on September 1, 2027. We check with you what your tool needs to produce.

Can we connect Claude, Copilot or ChatGPT to the firm’s ERP?

Yes, through MCP, an open standard your IT department controls. Every access is approved.

Does our clients’ data stay confidential?

Yes: hosting of your choice, access rights by engagement, and no model training on your data.

Do we keep ownership of the code and data?

Yes. The code and data stay with you, documented: we keep improving the tool with you, or you take it over.
